About Solar Absorption Cooling
- Solar Absorption cooling is an emerging
application
of the absorption refrigeration cycle.
- Majority
of absorption cooling systems today are large industrial units that are
either direct fired by a flame produced from fossil fuels or excess
heat from an industrial process.
- Potential for high electrical COP achievable
when an efficient heat rejection system
is incorporated.
- Rotartica produces the smallest available
solar absorption chiller which is appropriately scaled for residential
or small commercial use.
- Today solar absorption cooling primarily exists
in
Europe.
- Two Rotartica Solar 045v are being tested in
the U.S.A.
- Rotartica is currently working with customers embarking on emblematic projects. We are providing this information as a technical resource in order to better illustrate how our CPC Evacuated Tube Solar Thermal Collectors can be integrated into solar cooling applications, however, we are not able to sell or support Rotartica products at this time.
